As Newlyweds, my husband and I found a charming 2-bedroom apartment in a turn of the century, Victorian home in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. Believe it or not…we had a yard, a driveway and laundry in the building. As far as we were concerned, we hit the apartment lottery!

With time, our family grew adding 2 children to the mix. We loved to entertain and have family and friends visit. Our 2-bedroom apartment that once felt very spacious was getting smaller by the year. Because finding a bigger place in New York City comes with added financial stress, we needed to rethink our living space.

As typical New Yorkers, we easily spent 12 hours a day commuting and working. Because our free time was limited, we focused it on spending it with our kids. CLUTTER ENSUED!

It was clear, we needed a larger apartment. We looked…and looked…and looked some more…we looked for a long time. We found NOTHING within our budget. Budget wasn’t our only concern; our neighbors became our family and our neighborhood became our own.

A dream was born/ My dream came to live

Can’t we just move out, start from scratch and move back in? And so began my quest and the birth of ReMovers-NYC.
